Services for Curtis A. "Shorty" Leslie Sr., 85, Wills Point, were scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel, Wills Point, with Rev. Adam Williams and Rev. Paul Williams officiating.

Mr. Leslie died April 14, 2008, in Greenville.

He was born May 19, 1922 in Durant, Miss., to Amzy John and Mary Priscilla Carnes Leslie. He grew up in Durant, where he attended school. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was an electrician, retiring from IBEW Local #20 in Dallas. He was a resident of Mesquite and Dallas prior to moving to Wills Point in 1970. He was a member of Lakeview Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; one sister; and grandson, Corey Daniel.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Leslie, Wills Point; sons and daughter-in-law, Curtis A. "Kirby" Jr. and Susie Leslie, Rowlett, and Mark Leslie, Colorado City; daughters and son-in-law, Diane Hamilton, Wills Point, Gail Daniel, Rowlett, and Brenda and Joe Davis, Garland; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
