Memorial services for Bobbie Jake Huffman James, 78, Edgewood, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 28, at Cheatham Memorial United Methodist Church, Edgewood, with Rev. Jesse Brannen officiating, under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home, Edgewood.
Mrs. James died April 24, 2008, in Tyler.
She was born December 18, 1929 in Kaufman to Robert F. and Sadie Britt Huffman. She grew up in Dallas, moving to Wills Point at the age of 16. She worked and lived in several places, including Dallas, where she worked as an accountant at Schepps Dairy for 15 years. She moved to Edgewood after retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Robert Huffman; and sister, Querita Caldwell.
Survivors include son, Robert James; daughter, Linda Thompson, Quinlan; grandchildren, Christopher Upchurch, Phillip Upchurch, Jonathan Thompson and James Thompson; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; five nieces; one nephew; and other relatives.
