Services for Charles Robert Carnahan "Charlie" Sr., 72, Dallas, were held at noon Thursday, May 1, at Laurel Land Funeral Home Chapel, Dallas.
Mr. Carnahan died April 27, 2008.
He was born August 1, 1935. He graduated from Sunset High School in Oak Cliff, where he lived and worked most of his life. He was a real estate appraiser, broker and agent. He served in the Army for two years as a paratrooper. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service prior to his career in Real Estate. He coached softball for many years, traveling all of the nation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Bonnie Carnahan, and Geraldine Carnahan; and sister, Joyce Carter.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; children, Chuck and Ronda Carnahan, Southlake, Susan and Lloyd Foster, Wills Point, CaLynn and Lin Johnson, Rowlett, Cindy and Todd Kelly, Tennessee, Jeremy and Josh Andrews, Dallas, and Michelle Smith, Washington, D.C.; grandchildren, Alex and Drew Carnahan, Sarah and Savannah Foster, Gregory Johnson, Jennifer Hollaway and Nick Kelly, Maddie and Henry J. Smith; great-grandchildren, James and Cameron Hollway; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Kenneth Gibbons; and many nieces and nephews.
