Services for J.D. Ramsey, 96, Edgewood were held at 2 p.m. March 7, at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynn Mullins officiating.
Burial was in Haven of Memories Memorial Park, Canton.
Mr. Ramsey passed away March 5, 2009 in Grand Saline.
He was born August 16, 1912 in Moore Community, to Jefferson and Murl Russell Ramsey. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Wills Point. He had lived in Van Zandt County all of his life. He was a carpenter and cattleman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ramsey; son-in-law, Kerry Cartwright; granddaughter, Chrstie Phillips and grandson, Gene Valentine.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Eugenia Ramsey, David and Lois Ramsey; daughter, Charlotte Cartwright, all of Wills Point; sisters, Francis O’Donald, Greenville, Lucille Sebastian, Athens; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Chad Ramsey, Jud Ramsey, Don Davis, Larry Joe Surls, Jack McBride and Ron Butler.
