Terry Glen Foster

Services for Terry Glen Foster, 64, Edgewood, were held at 2 p.m., November 20, at First Baptist Church in Edgewood with Rev. Wayne Livingston and Dr. Lanny Elmore officiating.

Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood.

Mr. Foster passed away November 17, 2009, at his home in Edgewood.

He was born December 2, 1944, in Myrtle Springs, to George Glenn and Faye Wynell Chaney Foster. He grew up in Edgewood and graduated from Edgewood High School. He also attended East Texas State University in Commerce. He served in the United States Air Force and the Army National Guard, spending time in Viet Nam. He lived in Terrell for over twenty years and taught building trades in the Terrell Independent School District. He moved back to Edgewood in 1989, and continued to teach school in Terrell until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Edgewood.  He loved his church and served in several capacities over the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Cary “Stevie” Foster.

Survivors include his sons, Chad Foster and wife, Laura, San Antonio and Greg Foster, Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Debbie McBride, Edgewood; grandchildren, Juliana Foster and William “Isaac” Foster; good friend and companion for nineteen years, Cindy Kelley of Mesquite; and other relatives.
