Services for Jack English, 83, Ben Wheeler were held at 11 a.m., January 26 at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel, Canton with Rev. Roland Alsobrook and C.R. Chapman officiating.

Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery, Martins Mill.

Mr. English passed away January 22, 2010 in Dallas.

He was born November 26, 1926 in Ferris to Emery Hugh English and Oma Mae Brandenburg English. He was a Methodist by faith. After growing up in the southern end of Dallas County in the Patrick Community, he served in the U.S. Army during the end of WWII. On September 4, 1948 he married Helen Moore English. They moved to Ben Wheeler in 1956. He farmed and operated the English Produce Stand for 53 years.

Survivors include wife, Helen English, Ben Wheeler; two sons, Bobby and Linda English, Ben Wheeler, and Jace and Joette English, Ben Wheeler; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sister Lucille Herrin, Dallas; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clifford English and John Harry English; sisters, Mildred Peters and Izetta Ware and two great-nephews.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Horton, Chuck Horton, Jerry Johnston, Nicky Brockway, Adam English, Heath English, Johnathan English and Dustin English.
