Services for Willie Duncan, 94, Scotia, New York are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
A spring interment will be held in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas where she will be reunited with her husband Ray Duncan.
Mrs. Duncan passed away January 20, 2010.
Born at home in the small Village of South Sulfur Texas on August 15, 1915, Willie was the youngest daughter of Milus B. and Sallie E. Nichol. Willie and her seven siblings grew up and worked on the family farm/ranches which dotted northeast Texas in those days. Willie graduated from Commerce High School and after some years moved to Dallas where she worked in the clothing industry for Lee Apparel and as an aircraft assembler during World War II. Later in life, Willie met and married the love of her life, Ray Duncan and the two of them returned to their farm/ranch roots on a small spread in Canton. After Ray’s death in 1987, Willie moved to Glenville to live with her son and his wife Chester and Susan Watson.
Survivors include her son, Chester (Chet) Watson and his wife Susan, Glenville, stepson Glen Duncan and stepdaughter Dianne Stoker both of Canton; grandchildren Mark Watson, Marie Ricciardi, Glen D. Duncan, Susan Grass, Glen and Preston Stoker, Michael Watson, Christina Meier and Heather Peterson; great-grandchildren, Genevieve Torrez, Jennifer Kownack, Mark Watson Jr., Michelle and Domenic Ricciardi, Shannon Peterson and Reece Meier.
Memorials may be made to your local Hospice.
