A Funeral Mass for Shirley Sikors, 86, Wills Point was held at 10 a.m., January 23 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. James Orosco officiating.
Mrs. Sikors passed away January 20, 2010 at her home.
She was born August 12, 1923 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Rudolph and Irene (Barnes) Schmidt. She was a charter member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Quinlan and St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Terrell.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Dr. John P. Sikors; children, Bob John Sikors II and wife Layne of Los Angeles, Barbara Hendricks and husband Rick of Poetry, Patti Garrett and husband Jerry of Lake Tawakoni, Suzzane Owen and husband Mitch of Dallas, Nancy Sanford and husband Charles of Terrell, and Shirley Weaver of Wills Point; grandchildren, Marcus Sikors, Dr. Laci Hendricks, Lauren McCombs, Kimberley Redditt, Haley, Jenna, and Scott Owen, Christopher and Andrea Price, Jennifer and Kyle Weaver; great-granddaughter, Sarah McCombs; sisters: Barbara Meyer and Peggy Keenan; brother, James Schmidt; plus numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Thomas and Bernie Schmidt.
