Services for Kathy Russell, 49, Wills Point were held at 3 p.m., January 28 at College Mound United Methodist Church with Pastor Larry Davis officiating.
Burial followed the service at College Mound Cemetery in Terrell.
Mrs. Russell passed away January 25, 2010 at her home.
She was born on August 9, 1960 in Dallas to William Hayden and Brenda Faye (Buss) Selzer. She graduated from WW Samuel High School in Dallas. She worked for Power Lab, Inc. as an Administrative Assistant for 21 years. She was an active member of College Mound United Methodist Church, served on many various committees, including being a board member of the Lone Star Credit Union, a board member of the Terrell Chamber of Commerce, involved with the Relay for Life for many years, and a volunteer for the Dallas Historical Society.
Survivors include her husband; parents; son, Michael Wayne Russell and his wife Misty of West Tawakoni; step-son, Roger Bailey Learned, Dallas; step-daughter, Bobbie Martinez and her husband Gene, Allen; sisters, Karen Kahling and her husband, Chad, Rogers; Kristen Comnick, McKinney and Ella Anderson, Kaufman; brother, Robert Selzer and his wife, Tracy, Wills Point; grandsons, Andrew Petrea and Skyler Learned; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a multitude of friends.
Memorials may be made in Kathy’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
