Services for Albert J. Christie, 82, Arp were held at 2 p.m. February 24 at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel, Canton with Bro. Gerald Spriggs officiating.
Burial was in Haven of Memories, Canton.
Mr. Christie passed February 22, 2010 in Dallas.
He was born July 28, 1927 in Troup to Louis David and Minnie May Rankin Christie. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He loved his grandchildren and in his spare time he loved to fish. Albert J. loved animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Dorothy E. Christie; half-sister, Flora Mae Womack and brothers, Lewis Junior Christie and John D. Christie.
Survivors include his sons, James Christie, Bossier City, Louisiana, Thomas and Linda R. Christie, Liberty; Albert and Rose L. Christie, Waxahachie; daughters, Carol and David Baker, Wills Point, Linda Hall, Ferris; 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ross Sterling Christie, Memphis, Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Eddie Scott, Wayne Scott, Shane Hulse, Steven Hulse, Paul Finch, Danny Robinson, Jim Christie and Paul Christie.
Honorary pallbearers, were Mark Hulse and Benny Christie.
