Canton High School placed first at UIL regionals for the first time in the schools history with 230 ½ points, going up against 51 schools in the region.

The second place school was Spring Hill who came in with 92 ½ points.

"This is the best year we have ever had," Canton High School Principal Max Callahan said. "It is a tribute to the faculty at Canton High School and how dedicated and committed the kids are."

"We have wonderful students here at Canton," Callahan continued.

He went on to say the difference is the leadership of the teachers and the willingness of the students are what sets CHS apart from other schools.

"Again this could not have been accomplished without the excellent leadership of our UIL Coordinator Susie Doreman," Callahan added.
