Human Resource Director Position Okayed By Board

Julie Vaughan, Editor

The creation of a human resource director position at the administration office was approved by the Canton ISD Board of Trustees.

Due to assistant superintendent Dr. Lori Blaylock leaving the district, Stewart said there was an opportunity for the central office to reorganize shifting some of her duties on among himself, the business manager, curriculum director and newly created position of human resource director.

Board member Reagan Sumner questioned who would be second in charge if Stewart was unable to fulfill his duties due to being out of the office or due to illness.

"There will be no official second in command," Stewart said.

He went on to say that communication lines will be open between him and the administration staff for Stewart to give advice/instruction to those while he is out.
