City Seeks New Police Chief

The City of Van is currently looking to fill the position of police chief.
Police Chief Donnie Payne has left the city to become the Van ISD Police Chief.
Payne was with the department for nine years.
Applicants for the job must have six or more years of experience as a chief, assistant chief, lieutenant or sergeant or a combination of six or more years in two or more of those positions with a valid master police officer certification from TCLEOSE.
The applicant must have no criminal history and be able to withstand a thorough background investigation.
