Tocker Foundation Named Funder Of The Year

The Tocker Foundation, a faithful grantor to the Van Community Library and other small rural libraries in Texas, was named 2009 Funder of the Year by A Circle of Ten (C10). The Tocker family was recognized Friday, October 9 at the Eighth Annual Funders’ Forum and Network gathering hosted in Bryan, Texas by C10 and Kathy Holdway.

In 2008, the Van Community Library received a $10,380 grant that funded the Apollo Biblionix circulation system, computers and other library needs. In 2009, the library received $12,059 that purchased more computers, library shelves and furniture.

The Van Community Library is home to thousands of books. It also has computers available to the public and children’s programs in place.
