Expresso Yourself Night Set For Monday
Van High School’s annual Expresso Yourself Night is set for Monday, November 9 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will showcase student work from each department on the campus.
"There will also be free blood screens, and free blood pressure check," said High School Principal Keith Murphy.
Murphy said that the band, choir and students from the drama department will also be performing.
Refreshments will also be served.
"This is a great opportunity for parents to come see the students’ work on display," said Murphy.
Murphy said that the high school has an advisory program which is a program where one teacher meets with a small group of ten to 15 students to work on character development.
"These teachers are advocates for our children and this would be a wonderful time for parents to come meet their child’s advisor," said Murphy.
"We are so proud of our teachers and students. We are really feeling a sense of momentum throughout the district," said Murphy.
