The northeast area of Lake Tawakoni was swarmed with boat and foot traffic for almost one week as a massive search took place for a 52-year-old man that fell from his boat Saturday at 10:30 p.m.
A coordinated search by game wardens from seven Texas counties, the Commerce Dive Team, the North Texas Dive Team, Rains County Sheriff’s deputies, East Tawakoni Police Department and search dogs yielded the body of the missing man.
Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden Roland Fuentes said Game Warden Norman Terry of Smith County discovered the body at a remote area of the far northeast shoreline of the lake last Friday at 12:38 a.m.
Identification of the man will not be released until his autopsy is complete.
